instrument rack change by scene change?

Post by Chip Tronic » Thu Jan 18, 2007 5:57 pm

Hi,
my idea is to change presets by changing scenes.
my idea is maybe also to change whole instruments by changing scenes.
is it possible to change instrument racks on the fly?

let´s say in scene 1, track 1 i have an operator patch. wenn i trigger scene 2 , track 2 i want this patch to change.

track 1 = bass
track 2 = lead

is this possible?

I'm a new user, but haven't found a way to do this either. I suppose you could add a bunch of Operator control changes to the beginning of the clip in scene 2, or put a "dummy clip" in between the two scenes to apply the control changes...but it's not an easy solution.

dummy clips and the chain selector in the rack should get you sorted i think.

map one of the macros to the chain selector, then you can have the envelope on the dummy clips select the different chains in the rack.

use the distribute equally option for the chains ranges.
