Bingo!!!

If those push / encoders can send DIFFERENT CC messages, then there's the extra buttons I was looking for...

I really hope they haven't dropped the ball on this one. This and the A&H 2D are the only two controllers that I have yet seen to really interest me since he Novation Remote SL series.

I'm curerntly pretty minimal, but I can guarantee that if the Korg Zero8 encoders can send different CCs between the push and the encoder, I'm buying one with my income tax return.

Simple.

Did you guys check out the fact that the touch screen is also the touch controller? Damn!!!! I have never mucked about with a kaoss pad, but that looks really sweet. Very intuitive, and great for visual feedback!!!

...No, I didn't notice that... Very sharp thinking there.

Honestly, if there is a means of either using the rotary encoders as pushbuttons to send different CC messages, then Korg has hit a HOME RUN on this one.

Either way, this is the closest I have seen the perfect "Heart" of a Live PA rig. Soundcard, mixer, controller all in one unit, with enough control for EVERYTHING.

Simply Brilliant.

im going back for more comments too. having had a second look..... this thiong looks sweeeeet. so close to what i had designed in my mind for a really good mixer/controller. i am just really glad someone has finally made something appropriate to use with live use. it looked like allen and heath were the only ones who were going to try but i really hated the design and the price. so some good news for namm after all

Looks cool .... only wish there was one with 16 or even 12 channels. 8 is never enough!!!! Otherwise close to what I want.

And people call the Evolvers ugly?!

Looks like they had JL Picard design this fifteen years ago...

I love these units - even without the midi control, the Kaoss effects, the audio interface the Zero8 would still be a great product: A great, reasonably sized 8 stereo track mixer.
Add all the other stuff, and this puppy looks more and more ideal
I guess I might as well start saving now...

One thing I am worried about is how routing in and out of the computer will work - my rigs tend to have a lot of feedback loops, drummer click tracks, monitor sends and so on.

The Zero8 is defo floating my boat, I've been looking for an 8 fader controller for playing live but none of them have enough knobs for manipulation.

Agree with all above looks like it is going to be very pricey. My have to fly to the sates to pick it up save a few more quid.

would be cool if the zero 8 had two firewire ports so you
could use it as 2x4 mixer with two laptops if you want to.
won´t happen i guess...

Wonder if that touch screen thingy can function as a mouse pad like that pile o' poo M-Audio dj controller. Either way that thing gets me all hot and bothered in a way only blinking boxes with lots of knobs can.
