Hi,
I just wanted to ask the Ableton team for a small feature, and see if anyone else agrees.
I think it would be really useful if Ableton would display the bitrate of mp3's in the browser. iTunes does it easliy.
Often when I am djing i want to make sure I don't choose a low bitrate junky mp3, especially if playing in a big club.
Thanks

Ha ha ha
I try not to put low bitrate mp3's in, but sometimes the temptation is just too much. I run Izotope ozone on the master output, with an exiter and widener, and this improves things a lot...
But you know how it is, things get messy. I may have a couple of copies of an mp3 with one being a lowbitrate one I didn't delete when I got a better copy.
As it is I am forced to keep iTunes open to check the bitrate, then go back to Live and try to make sure the track I am looking for is the same, as tags show up differently in Live's browser...
Not a problem if I plan my sets before hand, but if I want to drop something in spontaneously....
