search is way too slow

I think every single time I've tried to use the little magnifying glass thingy in Live I've ended up pressing stop and just using the windows one which has usually come up with a dozen options in the same time

I agree: I have one directory with about 10 ableton projects and I often search with .als to get only the sets visible. This takes ages. A simple directory filtering.

The search is really fast if you unselect "Automatic rescan on each search" in the "File Folder" preferences.

A search on common terms like "filter" takes below one second on my MBP.

The only drawback is to manually select rescan if files were moved/changed or added outside of Live.
