New to Live 6 - converting to mp3?

Post by alanjewels » Wed Jan 24, 2007 4:45 pm

I have opened an mp3 in Live 6 and altered it slightly, but I have no idea how to then save the new version as an mp3 rather than a document file.

If anyone could give me a hand that'd be much appreciated.

You need to Render to Disk - this will export a wav file. You can then convert it to an mp3 using itunes or something similar.

If you're on a PC and you just want to make simple changes directly to an MP3, MP3DirectCut (free) might be useful. By rendering and recompressing you risk further reducing the quality of the MP3 (I think).
