Aah, that explains it. You are at odds with yourself. Not only do you feel tied to a culture that attempted genocide, but you're also part of a culture that was wiped out and robbed of its nation by invading (pale) conquerors. So of course, you'd completely support the country that both defeated your both your german ancestors as well as your Comanche brethren. I pity you even more now.

Come here, Chief. I'll give you a big hug and hold you tight so you can cry it all out.... It's gonna be ok, pumpkin. It's gonna be ok...

thank you neb, feeln' better already.

I think his point was that it should be considered yours (and all Americans')

but that sort of shit has been long forgotten the day people started coming out with idiotic shit like "we should support the president's actions" - forgetting he's there to serve YOU.

It seems from outside these days that America has almost settled into some kind of corporate monarchy - actually, you know that is what the true definition of fascism is: "corporatism" (Mussolini said it himself)

it seems as if the whole democracy thing has been forgotten about - people have forgotten what it means - I mean that whole thing they did with the bill of rights/ habeas corpus etc where now American citizens (or anyone really) can now even be held as terrorists indefinitely and not given access to an attorney is mind blowing

and the patriot act, all that shit is terrifying, you guys should be out in the streets taking up arms against them and having another revolution! In fact if you read your history what the British did to spark the first one was nowhere near as bad - the tax they were trying to impose was way less than people in Britain were paying!!

the current government is destroying everything your country is proudest of and they've sneaked up behind you when you're at your most complacent

it's an absolute tragedy and I understand why Hunter S. Thompson decided now is the time to blow his brains out - and that guy covered Nixon!

yeah,you are probably right, but

1 was only 8 yrs old when kenney was assasinated.
he was well loved by the media and liberals-and well respected by
conservatives.
the educational system in this counttry was all about---

"ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your
country"

and right or wrong-i was brainwashed with that theory thru-out my educational years.
yes i know,free-will,free-thinking-are indeed viable options-
but
a mind is not as easily reset as is a harddrive........1pauper1

its a war that i dont think we can ever win.
i make contributoins thru local charities,as i'm sure you and
millions of other poeple around the world do also.
i just don't believe that our money ever really gets to the
children. i have seen a few doccumentaries that indicate as much.

on a grander scale with world governments making contributions
to needier countries you run into "bread vs bullets".

either way,the money, food, and medicine is either stolen on the
way over there ,or userped by the local leaders when it does actually
make it there.

if there is a "higher" power,it either can't - or won't, do anything.

so i guess we just have to keep making contributions and hope that
we save as many as we can.

just one of the numerous issues that make me.....agnostic......1pauper1

Well you are trying in that way, and that's awesome, but all 6B of us need to change, our human society needs to heal itself, ASAP.

When comes to elevating our society out the disgusting $/Power lustpool that it wallows in, there is always talk of how impossible it is, how almost fatastical and dreamlike the very concept is and how expensive it would be.

But when it comes to creating a new force of sexy destruction that can kill billions, well - it was damn hard, almost impossible (split an atom? - wtf?), but we sure licked that sucker, didn't we?

it cannot be accomplished as a collective whole, because
even you had enough googles of money to throw at it-somebody
has to collect it and distribute it.it wont get there.

we have to make these changes one to one, like a good germ that keeps spreading.help the poor and needy around your own neighborhood.they(hopefully)
wil spend ther're grattitude forward and so on.the best and most rewarding, positive
contributions start right next door...with your fellow man........1pauper1

exactly, but what you are describing IS the grassroots of a collective change.

UNFORTUNATELY

there's not too much money to be made in humanitarian efforts, so unless we see a radical political revolution where corporate america has no influence over geopolitics... then we can fight that war.

Funny (not really) how the war on drugs came first...

actually dude, dont be so easily defeated

there are actually loads of aid workers on the ground in Africa physically helping this shit get to the people - sure there are many obstacles, but my partners uncle is still sick from malaria from the last visit he made to africa

there are alot of people out there doing it and it's absolutely true that there are alot of terrible warlords and the like getting in the way, but that doesnt mean the whole concept of aid is not working, it just means there are more obstacles in the way to overcome - but people are out there trying
