Live in loop mode
Live in loop mode
There have been posts about the missing beat with Reason when Live is in loop mode and it is suggested the problem is with Reason. However I am running a hardware sequencer being midi clocked by Live as the master. When Live is not in loop mode it works perfectly. As soon as I set Live to loop the harware sequencer starts going out of sync, funnily enough when Live hits the loop point. I really wish someone at Ableton would at least answer and hopefully address this problem.

Hi,
wich hardware sequencer are you running ? Could you please test if you get the same results when you slave live to another soft sequencer (logic or cubase) ?

Live in loop mode
I have a Notron hardware sequencer and it works fine being clocked by Cubase when Cubase is in loop mode. I have also tried Live as master clocking a Korg Electribe drum machine. Again it works perfectly when loop mode in Live is off. As soon as I set Live to loop mode the Electribe starts going out of sync when Live loops around.
I don't want to slave live, I want it to be the master.

Would you perhaps like to send the sequencer
to us for a, shall we say, extended "evaluation and
testing" period? ;)

Having a laugh!
The Notron stays! You know it is like gold dust.

live sync to electribe
Hi i've got an electribe and what i notice when using it with live is
that if you are running a loop then press stop in live and then start it again
you must 1.Press play and then stop on the electribe, then start live again or
2.Press record twice on the electribe then start live again,if you look the electribe will play from the last position that live stopped it in,so when you hit play again on live it throws the whole thing out.so if you do either 1or2
you are resetting the electribe back to the start. This i think is a problem
in live because if you sync cubase or logic to live when you hit stop then restart them the electribe will always start from the beginning.
