LIVE 6 - Can't play live anymore!

Post by janakan » Wed Jan 31, 2007 9:45 am

HEllo I Have a G5 2gHz, 3 g ram.

With Protool 6, Or Logic i can play any Softsynth live without problems! Even with more than 15 voices simultan

Since i bought Live6 i can't do this any more. Even with one plugin and only9 voices! only if i go for 1000 ms buffer! But this i srelay realy bad for playing live : )

Does anyone share this problem?!

Thanks for answering!

Not that this will be of any help to you - but Live 6 is not working properly for me either. I can make a set of say 6 audio tracks, throw a couple of plugs in there and the the cpu maxes out.

If I try running more than 5-6 Softsynths the cpu maxes out........ and the worst part is that since upgrading even my Live 5.2 has a heavily decreased performance!!!

I'm on AMD 3400+ 2 gigs ram and so on

I tried support but they have nothing to say about it so far

Before Live 6 was installed I could easily run 30+ audiotracks with plugins on all of them....... I consider going back to Nuendo for mixing and tracking, and then only do small fun stuff in live. I'm also working on new material on my Machinedrum + hardware synths - as I can't play live with Live anymore
Gearslut :o)

More bass in the hi-hat

I'm having the same problem as you guys do, when using it I have to choose which plug-ins I use very carefully!
