I've been putting together this huge collection of free loops, breaks, vocals, sounds & samples for 7 years and finally all of it is available online (for free) using a slick downloading interface. (No ads to suffer through either.)

My question is, how do I prepare some of these samples so that they'll integrate really well in Live? I don't use live much, mostly I use Logic for my composing, so I've learned how to make EXS24 sample packs and that sort of thing. Is it worth making Live Packs, or should I just leave things as they are — as individual 16 bit 44khz AIFF samples — nicely trimmed and normalized and such. Is there anything else I should do?
If there is, does anyone out there want to help me "LIVEize" a portion of these samples? (I'll mail you a DVD of the entire collection if you're up for it!)
Also, see elsewhere (use the button at the top of this screen to search for 'sampleswap') if anyone's curious I'm running a contest so you can get a DVD of the collection for using live to compose a 1-2 minute demo song.

I signed up as I am always looking for other samples to add to my collection. I usually visit freesound.org for stuff there as well.
