[collaboration] Network Producing !?!
Rightthe beats are done, just renering them down and sorting a couple of off beat hitches, who wants em?
pm me an email address and il send them your way. jus give me an hour to eat and finish tweaking
they are very raw at this stage and definetly open for suggestion!!!!
EDIT: 8 8bar loops are done, obviously il need to do more as it progreses but thats enough for ambience or bassline to be coming along with, hell at the mo we only need a couple of bars for each really...
email at the ready, do you want the live files too?

I have no pets but enjoy drawing pictures of insects and sending them to people
I think send them to master arranger person- any volunteers?
If we do it in sections at first to get all the main elements inthere- beats, ambience, bass, counterbass(303), melody, countermelody, extras etc, once we have all (or most) of the sections done we can start creating a definate structure.
Ive sent the beats along to m:o earlier on, he(or she) said they'll get something up and running for tomorrow - not sure if theres any time difference involved - then, if c1c2 pm m:o your email addy and he/she can get them sent to you for the bassline then you can send spiral the parts to get some 303's on the job.
Doing it this way for two reasons
1. we dont produce in the wrong order for example: doing 303 after bassline (to me) is silly
2. If we all went away and did our stuff, we'd come away with some sort of mashed up fight in a music store
Plan:
m:o> add ambience/texture, give it a definete theme
then send off to c1c2
c1c2> bassline, deep and moody with a hidden depth that comes in later (obviously this would all be in sections for now, unless...(see *)) like all good basslines should have IMO
then send off to spiral
spiral>303's, nothing too insane, this is a minimal track remember
then send to next volunteer (if we have one, if we get impatient, we'll just carry on...
nb's
Everything should be seen as 'work in progress' at this stage, post about any changes to any of the sections on this thread and we can all agree on what needs to be done
tempo at the mo is 124
keep .als files
see if anyone wants to do the other parts (melody, (countermelody), bleeps and extras, arrangement, mastering, and probably some more i have forgotten about))
keep it simple-its minimal!
*if you feel like arranging it- do so! but keep the sections of course
***
ok,
thats that over, lets have some fun- hell, next week we may have a tune of epic proportions!!!
any questions post em up!!

old issue with these emoticons
mo is also ok. - and i've got a wiener.....
listened quick to laurence's beats after coming home, and besides that they're
very low in volume and dynamic (-32db RMS/average and -14db Peak), are a good point to start with. I like the shufflin' touch with the woodblocks. Btw. , haven't heard the ReBirth PCF for a long time
.
It would be no problem for me to bring up the volume of these files (eq/light comp/normalize), but can't you render those at higher Levels and send them again ? Maybe at -6db to -4db peak to have a little headroom for the endmix.
I don't mean to "overpress/ultramaximize" - just with the level meters in the upper green area...
Tomorrow i have a long day at University, so i can start in the evening. When i got something i will send it to c1c2. Also i will upload the whole files (incl. als with the bounced wav's ) to sendspace for the others - if it's ok for you. I'm in Germany as c1c2, so no probs with the british timezone. Don't know where spiral is from, but we have to deal with it.
Yep, and let's have some fun with it!!
Allright - good night.
