So it was great interest I saw the new advert for the Mackie Control "Pro" series over at http://www.mackie.com/products/mcupro/splash.html.
Finally, they must have addressed all those issues with the C4 not working with...well...everything you really want them to work with... and definately with a "Pro" slapped on the end, the controller and extender must have had some serious overhauling.
Then Finally we get the details of this revolutionary upgrade...
USB connection (but only on the Mackie control universal unit, not the extender or C4)
3x MIDI interface (but not on the extender or C4)
and a heavier jog wheel
All put together in a nice shiny new case....
Same guts inside though!
BRILLIANT!.... nice to see Mackies R&D team on the ball hitting those issues head on, exactly what we needed!
I'm so glad they spent their time wisely.
Infact I'm heading off right now to spend nearly a grand pre ordering a still completely useless C4 pro!
Or alternatively I can spend £400 on the older model and pick up and older model MCU for £549....(New high street price) but that shiny new case is so tempting I think I'll spend the extra grand...
P.S you may have detected this post is riddled with sarcasm....
Freaky

You are complaining about a product you don't even own.

Have owned!
then disowned due to Mackies lack of Ableton Support (for the C4)
MY "Gripe" is they havent fixed the problems on the old units because according to mackie PR's its so time consuming, yet they spend their time reeling out the same old hardware with the same old problems in a new skin...
I think thats a valid "Gripe"
