Im half way to finishing off my gui graphics, ive also had the idea of including audo-fade buttons to all the faders & knobs, non-functional at the moment but will complete this week.

As for when a beta release will be available, will be few months or more as i still have a lot to finish off.

I've been following the track of the PocketPC MIDI Controller since last year (exactly November 2th '06).
I really apreciate your work and wish it accomplishes to be a revolutionary tool in the DJ/VJ world.
But I'm afraid your idea is taking too long. Don't want to be nasty but I (as a lot of people) are beginning to get bored about this idea and are getting into other projects because of the time. There have been promises like "It'll be in 3 months", but were totally false.

Don't want to offend you at all because your a kind of little God for me but please don't make it last for too long or a lot of clients will get to another stuff.

Please gafferuk, take a little cute beta out or something like that so that we can see a little bit of it.

Anyway, I didn't want to offend you at any time so please I apologise for any disturb I may cause. I simply want to tell that you are loosing fans.

Best wishes and congratulations for what (one day I guess) it'll be one of the best apps for the libe performancers.

Hope to reply with a "lots of gratz" soon!

I agree with LuckyShot to a degree. While I dont think it's worthwhile to release a alpha/beta that is unfunctionable, I do think its worth pre-releasing with some bugs.

I don't really care about a snazzy GUI, I would if it was a pc app, but a PPC screen is so small that I think as long as things are clear, looks dont really matter.

i totally agree with luckyshot and vexkon.
all the things that are now part of the application (and that
seem to work already) are more than enough for me and i
wouldn´t wait a second to buy it.
all i want is that cool little remote control for ableton live.
i probably would use all this lfo generator stuff, but i don´t
need it - would buy without it. and i guess i won´t need the
things you are planning to add to V1.0. it all keeps me from
using the main features soon which is much more important
for me than any "VCLFO" in the world...

pleeeeaaaase, all i want is to look cool on stage !

for real thi is gonna be a sweet app man but dont get tied down trying to make it the best at everything

it takes two people to make a peice of art, 1 to do it, 1 to stop them destroyin it

good work

yepp, very interesting project!

I programm c# at daytime and when I look at the current screeshots of this app, it's clear why it will "never" be released:
Don't plan to make software which "Can do everything in every case and eventuality" in beta stadium.
It makes much more sense to release a dramatically cutted version and then wait for the needs of the users/the community.

BUT: I can understand that developer - I still make that mistakte over and over again ;)

BTW: Kudos for the Idea and the thousand hours you spent for it! Release it and you'll be a hero

Please understand i can't release a beta version until i get a full version of Microsofts visual studio, also i have yet to buy a a pocket Pc. This amounts to nearly 700$ which for me is a lot of money, im saving up slowly for it so in the mean time im adding new features.

Anyways i would like to direct you to this thread here: Internet Jamming.

Ive completed my graphics for my GUI, ive also completed the auto-fade controls as well. All in all it's coming on very well, even better than I imagined.

I won't be posting much more to this forum as I now have all the features I require for first version.

My next project is a VST host/DAW in 3D! Complete with virtual keyboard, drum kit and more all based around a virtual recording room. Just imagine moving around a 3D workspace, going to be cool, i alrady have a 3d engine to use and as the graphics are done by the graphics processor, it will leave more proccessing power for the sounds... :D

Microsoft's releasing a MultiPont Software Development Kit soon so hopefully soon some company will produce multi-touch monitors, then my 3D vst application will shine!! :D
