the beginning is real cool, i like the record crackle. the levels realy kick in well when the song gets louder. i liek rock more than IDM or what have you.
im trying to do the same thing with Live, but Im a total recording rookie. here...check out "Design remix" at http://www.myspace.com/greenroom and let me know how I could pump the mix up, because it sounds weak.

Thanks Zach. As far as pumping up the mix, you've got several factors you need to have in place. First of all, the drumming needs to be solid and solidly recorded and up more in the mix. Is that you drumming or is that a drum machine? Also, I don't hear a real bass. It sounds like you've got your guitar trying to make up for no bass. All in all, you need something more solid for your rhythmn and that should be the backbone of your recording. From there you build it up, using it as your foundation. Once you get that done, you will need to implement some compression/limiting to "glue things together" and get your sound levels to the max without distorting. Check in Ableton's audio effects. There's some great presets in the mastering and help section and of course compression. Play around with the effects Ableton offers because they offer some of the best presets around which is great for beginners. I hope this helps.
