Best and most cpu friendly way to alter the key commands

Post by ikke » Mon Feb 05, 2007 7:09 am

ive read that you can alter the Ableton script. does that mean we can enjoy customizable keyboard shortcuts? im really fed up with doing ballet with my thumb and middle finger across the keyboard! ctrl+j ctrl+e ... jeeez
im using a program called Macro Xpress atm which translates single keystrokes into multiple ones but it is not cpu friendly! any tips on the subject? i have found my workflow, now i need a way to intergrate it :)

I've used Autohotkey for a while now. I map F1 to CRTL+E, among other shortcuts. I also use it to zoom with the mouse scroll wheel. Honestly, it's a god send...allowed me to cut my editing time and steps down to the point where I wouldn't go to any other DAW. Before autohotkey, it was pretty cumbersome. PM me, and I'll get you my script.
