Recording envelope clips - Help!!

Hi,

I'm using a Korg Kontrol49. All is working well, very well. Instant mapping is great. But, i can only record automation into the arrange view for some reason. Live wont record realtime automation for envelope clips. I can only draw in my data. Not twiddle my knobs while recording/looping a clip.

If i turn off the Korg as a specific controller in prefs, and just set it to transmit controller data on one of the ports, it will then record fine for envelope clips, but then i lose instant mapping!

Anyone help me out here?!! thanks!

I feel your pain, i'm looking for an answer too. have you found it yet? seems like a simple thing that needs to be fixed!

Nobody is answering because its not a feature yet, its been requested for the past few years but it has not made the cut yet.

I have never tried to record real time automation (envelopes indeed) in a clip.

Its a silly question but have uou arm a track and then push the play button at a clip (the play button should be red, cause the track is armed)?
