i could use sends and returns fine in live 5 yet in live 6, the return tracks have the A and B rotarys greyd off. i've looked at the manual and couldn't find anything that helped. does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

Return track sends are now disabled by default. You can right click -> enable sends.
You can also disable sends on other tracks, which supposedly may help performance a bit. (Because Live must stay ready at all times for an active send to be used)

You can also save the status of sends enabled/disabled to your Template song.
