Line Tool
Line Tool
no need to add an actual tool, but how about ALT+Click-n-Drag to make smooth lines for velocities and ramps?
Re: Line Tool
don't we have that already? (for velocities)
select some notes so they go dark, in the velocity view hold alt and ctrl and then click and drag a line out over the darkened notes velocity peaks. Instant velocity ramp.
unless you mean something a little different I quite like this method.

its straight, dont worry
the line of the tool is the same as the 'marching ants' marquee drag tool. It just goes into a line when you do ctrl&alt. It works as you imagine it would : click and drag a line and the velocities go all wedge-like. It takes me right back to programming 1993 rising drum fills
I had a little check just before I posted - I'd only used it a couple of hours earlier but I had to check!
I do hope the envelope tools get a biggish revamp for L7, stuff like curves, beziers, group move (across tracks) view multiple lanes, etc, etc.
they are a little clunky to access right now if you are checking the timing on a number of envelopes at once, my quickest method being highlighting the pulldown and using the up/down keyboard arrows to flick back and forth.
