The tube is a separate tube thingy and doesn't get used anymore. It distorts of course but not that nicely. The Modular is a thing my brother built out of curiosity, he's a computer programmer and electronics freak.

It sounds really analogue and the SK-1 sometimes gets patched through it. I don't use it that much for music anymore, I'm really getting into softsynths. The problem with analogue is envelope gate "thump" and clicks after the release stage, and subsonic/DC offset stuff. Mix mud. I finally found some good softsynths for bass:

Oatmeal
XHip
And I made one in Synthmaker with the SVF filter, sounds really fat.
