Help Please! I have a show tomorrow!

Post by saddlemeyer » Wed Feb 07, 2007 9:34 pm

I'm not even quite sure how to describe my problem. Basically, Live keeps -- seemingly randomly -- switching some setting so that when clicked, clips fire immediately instead of waiting until the sample ends. I'm sure there is a simple explanation, but I can't find it and I'm getting nervous. Anyone out there know what I'm talking about?

Thanks!

Hello,

For clip firing, two things to look at:

-there is a single quantize value per clip that has the priority on the global quantize value, so Live will follow that clip's value if it is set. If the clip's quantize is set to 'global', then it will follow the global quantize. Double click on the clip, and then on the little 'L' at the bottom of the screen to see the clip's quantize value.

-once you're sure it is set to the value you want, or to global, set the global quantize value on the top of the Live interface, right side of the transport bar, to 1 bar for example, if you want your clips to launch on the next bar.
