Anyone with a mackie control here? Please help!

Post by captainhanky » Wed Feb 07, 2007 11:33 pm

Hi!

I want to implement features of the (great) mackie control unit on my novation remote zero sl controller and need to know the exact key-press sequence for controlling the fx- sends in ableton live.

I managed to control PAN and FX-1 but don´t get an idea of controlling FX-2 and higher FX sends.

Please help.

What do you do to reach this controllers on an MCU?

Many thanks!

Hank

I believe you can only control the fx send of the selected track

Thanks.

Yes, selected track. But I can only reach FX-1.

How can I get access to FX-2 on that selected track?

I don´t know anything about the MCU, but I think that must be possible.

if I remember correctly - I'm assuming you have something set up as MCU v-pots - the first v-pots will control send1 amount, the second send2, and so on. It's important to understand that some functions, like pan, are global, and so the eight encoders will work for the eight tracks you have selected 9Probably the first eight to begin with); whereas other functions, like send and plugin control, are relevant to the selected track.
If you haven't already got it, google huskervu, get the MCU display emulation program from there, and you will find it a lot easier to understand what is going on.
