buying live at ebay?

Post by StillWaters » Tue Jun 01, 2004 7:19 am

anyone knows how secure it is to buy live at ebay.
there are many offers for selling live 3 (new) but i am
concerned about registration.

is it possible to change an already registered live to a new owner?

thanx for help

isn't it much cheaper to buy from a retailer? i sure as hell didn't pay $399 for Live. you can get it for at least $100 less from any store.

I guess it was cheaper for me cause i did the upgrade thing from Digidesign live version for cheap... also Aussie dollar is doing pretty good at the moment... so.... it worked for me.

If you are a student or teacher, you can get Live for $200 US. SUPER GOOD.
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

Yeah, first off I got it as an upgrade from delta live to live 2 online and i think it was under $200 - the trick is to get an m-audio sound card and upgrade from delta!!!!

thanks for your answers.
i got my live already as a bundle from the company.
a friend of mine was thinking about getting it from ebay.

but at last... supporting the company is not a too bad idea.
it's a great product!

and surely we all know a lot of the software on ebay is nothing more than an illegally dubbed cd, reguardless of whatever picture they post. If you do go that route, buy from a legit business with lots of good feedback. Or for the vindictive Live enthusiasts, buy one of the dubbed versions that are so cheap on AMEX, report the fraud when you get your illegal cd-r, then get your money back instantly from AMEX, and let them do the dirty work of busting the asshole profitting off of Live's sweat and tears. Seriously, fuck some asshole sitting there spending 1 minute to burn some illegal cracked software on a $.25 cd, then having the nerve to sell it on a legit internet marketplace for like 100 times his cost (for doing nothing). That shit is so ridiculous.
