Went from Arkansas to San Francisco to Los Angeles...

Got degrees in creative writing, print journalism, and audio engineering...

Am a professional audio engineer, but just quit the studio I have been working at for the last two years to work on my own material for the time being (thanks to the wife for support!). Mad stoked about getting my music out there and playing some gigs. Also working with two other artists doing production on their current projects. Love it...

Live is the shit... changed my creative life... no joke. :D

born in singapore
live in the states in d.c. metro area
been performing since i was 12
full time touring musician until 24 (primarily bassist)
then studio and live engineering on top of performing,
owned a commercial studio for a couple years,
main engineer at a very well known venue for many years,
got ripped of by a few labels, bands and a manager along the way
some international releases, press, tours, lots of independent stuff
found live, everything changed for the better production-wise
i still perform and mix/tour internationally most of the year-
mix bands/set up shows with folks from this forum in clubs/ art spaces when home.
when i get sick of it (if ever) or my health or hearing runs out, i'll go to college.

Painting contractor, own a small business with 45% share, only a few employees. Custom jobs on the wealthy here in Seattle.

I've painted my entire music career. Realized a long time ago that liking to play primarily NY noise guitar Rock and harder industrial just doesn't pay like painting does. Honestly, the whole business of contracting isn't half as annoying as dealing with clubs, and promoters, and all the other characters that music attracts. Rednecks are at the very least, mostly honest people.

Been making music since about 86. Live is the first DAW that opens up the idea of sequences as playable elements in a song. For that reason alone I'll forgive any shortcomings it has. 8)

Well, I'm seriously considering re-registering under a different name. Other threads explain why...

But I work for a law firm here in London, I live in sussex.

I've been in numerous bands since the 80s, playing a lot of guitar based music. I love eloectronica, mostly generic and cheesy house :D

but I love Live and I'm getting right into production and mixing. I have recently done some remixing for net labels, but not yet making any cash out of it.

Mrs is writing a book, hope it sells well then i can focus on music full time and get a bit more experimental!

Yeehaa!

im from yorkshire but ive lived here in london since 1989, apart from a few years when i went travelling

at the moment im on the first year of a degree in sonic art and i work freelance as an audio visual technician for people in the city which pays quite good

ive been playing around with live for about 3 years, im not too bad at it but i am still humbled by how little i know about it compared to other people here. i like jamming with other people and making experimental dance dub noise kind of stuff.

i release my own stuff and other peoples on my small internet label hobby thing which costs me more money than it makes but its interesting and it means that i get to know like minded people from all over the world

at the moment im not doing much at all as ive got a fucking kidney stone and im waiting for those incompetant pricks at the local hospital to sort me out.
