Preset name in title bar of Impulse / Sampler / Operator

Post by mwingerski » Sat Feb 10, 2007 10:29 pm

It would be so nice if I could open up impulse and instantly see what kit is loaded without having to hit the orange button and then have the browser change views... Sometimes I just want to see what's on there while I'm looking for other things. Seems like it would be relatively simple to have something in the title bar that would go to italics if the preset was edited...

if it helps;
mouse-over the titlebar of a device shows the last selected preset in the statusbar (bottom)

That is helpful, but it would be nice to just see it when you click on the title bar of the track and have it just show up on the device title bar... there's certainly enough screen real estate for it (and it would also be nice to know if the device was edited / saved )

anything that lessens the need to mouse around is helpful...

This is a result of the new hot-swap approach. And while it has it's advantages, there's certainly something nice about the old way (Live 3 .... can't be sure about how Live 4 worked, since I don't have it), where you could select device presets from the device's title bar.

But yes, I certainly don't see any reason to not display the preset in the device bar.
