How do you view cc 64 midi sustain data?

Post by fishermusic » Tue Feb 06, 2007 9:04 pm

I can find everything else, but no matter which synth I put up the data for sustain is not listed in the 'control chooser.'

I'm either looking in the wrong place, or missing somthing very simple.

Thank you in advance for your help and I apologize for my stupidity on this one.

Thank you for pointing that out....but I know what it's called. I'm trying to actually edit (see) the actual data so I could, for example, delete pedal data or move it slightly.

I know the number and regardless of what synth I pull up "sustain" or "hold" or any other data description does not show up in the controller chooser menu window.

In DP, PT, Cuebase and Logic this is a simple common proceedure.

Thanks,
rw

double click on the clip wherever you are working (in arrange or session), the 'envelope' panel may not be open, if it is not then hit the little 'e'.

Envelopes -
pulldown 1 : select 'Midi Control'
pulldown 2 : select '64 hold pedal'

edit the envelope.

if you've already played some hold pedal stuff it will have a red dot next to the parameter and you may want to 'show modulated parameters only'.

anyway, it's pretty easy.
