DJ EQ/Channel strip

i can't seem to get the Eq3 or 4 to really respond like a proper dj eq/channel strip. i've assgnied both to a controller and with the 3 i get an amazing eq cut for both hi and low but no significant boost. then with the 4 i get a nice boost but not enough cut. i want a simple dj channel strip with overall gain, hi, mid and low settings with a 10/15db boost and a 90db cut. does anyone know a mac based vst solution? i know logic has that dj eq, which would be great, but i don't know any vst options.

eq 3 is giving you whatever boost you like. just add a utility afterwards and set the gain to +24 dB and voila you get -inf...+30dB out of it.
eq 3 is a crossover with 3 gain controls. does this make sense to you ?
