looping glitch with two copy's running

i have two copy's of ableton running at the same time on my mac pro. I have a remote 25 sl. i have 6 buttons i use for looping(3 for each copy). when i load the first copy of ableton i can loop with no problems. BUT when i load the second copy of ableton i get the error message that there is another rewire program. on the second copy of ableton i every time i try to loop with my midi(25 sl) ableton crashes. If i use my mouse its fine. If i use the remote it crashs.
