djing with live what do i need???
Im getting the bundle pack with the evolution controller i know i need a m audio soundcard for wiring it up to my speakers can the evo trigger samples or do i need another midi device like the akia pad???
Techno expect the unexpected.
Depends on which controller it is... Is it the UC33-e??? If so, yes, you can trigger samples from the assignable keypad.
However, this is not the ideal controller for the job as it's more focused on controlling your channel levels/Eq/Effects. If you're serious about getting creative with Live as a deejay tool, i would recommend looking into either a Trigger Finger, Korg Pad Kontrol or the FaderFox LX2 to go with it!

Check out http://www.abletonlivedj.com for some good info.
Be sure to look at all the FAQs available. There some good hardware comparisons done.
And you don't need an m-audio soundcard - any soundcard w/ 2 stereo outputs will do. I recommend the Echo Indigo DJ card.

that should give you more than enough pads n faders, unless you want some keys to play with (can also be used as midi triggers)- id definetly looking into getting a 2 octave midi controller as you might want to play live at some point...
I have no pets but enjoy drawing pictures of insects and sending them to people
