Zebra 2 VST Isn't Recognized - Live 6.0.3 Windows

Post by wmayhem » Tue Feb 13, 2007 7:48 pm

I just purchased and installed Zebra 2... Live is not recognizing it as a VST.

Zebra 2 is bundled with two additional VSTs (Zebralette and a reverb) - Live recognizes both of these - but not the actual Zebra 2 VST.

I have already contacted u-he support but they are recommending trying for Ableton help!

My set up:

Intel P4 3.2 Ghz - 2GB RAM - WindowsXP
Presonus Firebox
Ableton Live 6.0.3

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi wmayhem,

first you should try the Rescan function in Live's preferences (File & Folder pane). If this still doesn't work, you should trash your preferences.cfg while Live is beeing closed and restart Live. You'll find the preferences file in your users folder: C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\Ableton\Live 6.0.3\Preferences\Preferences.cfg.

Note: In Windows default state this is a hidden directoy, so maybe you have to enable the option to see such hidden files and directories first.

Hope this helps

Best regards

Henrik

Thanks... I did the rescan already, but will try to trash preferences. Thanks for the tip.

Trashing preferences did NOT work either. Then I trashed preferences and just loaded the Zebra 2 vsts without any other vsts... and Zebra still did not show up!!!

Thanks.

I have a P4 running Win 2000, Live 6.0.3, and Zebra 2 runs just fine in Live (along with Zebralette). So don't give up; there must be some simple answer...
