NEW TO THE SCENE...AND SOOOO APPRECIATIVE!

Post by breedsound » Tue Feb 13, 2007 2:04 am

sup fellaz!

about a month and half ago i turned off fl 6. opened live 6. and haven't looked back since. live is soooo dope. BY FAR. the best DAW SOFTWARE i've messed w/. armed w/ some high end vsts and a disgustingly dope collection of drum samples...its officially game time.
i owe this forum SOOO much. it was hard at first completely starting from scratch w/ a new program. BUT i was able to lurk this forum and find the answers for EVERY question i could come up w/...side chaining...routing...ect..and also learned that this program (live) is very modular and literally PERFECT to me. its very inspiring software.

i'm runnin' a strong pentium 4...fatar sl880...axiom 25...tapco (dope) monitors...

battery 3 was recently replaced w/ the "drumstack" live pack.
i use hypersonic 2...
anything by native instruments...
got a couple of east west packs...
tons of samples...
and now operator...impulse...all the live effects...did i mention i love live alot?

you can hear my first couple of live works on my myspace page.

more to come...i love this program. and REALLY APPRECIATE THIS FORUM FOR SHARING ALL THE KNOWLEDGE YOU COULD EVER ASK FOR ABOUT THIS PROGRAM.

stay cool.

you're using the battery libraries with drumstack? does this work properly or are there limitations?

thanks + welcome

actually i bought battery 3 and never used it w/ fl 6. i found it ran smoother in live 6 so started using it. UNTIL i found drumstack. IT does EVERYTHING battery 3 can do...QUICKER.

to your question, tho. i think you can import many different "kits" and soundsets into live..."nki" included. but i'm not sure if they end up in drumstack...i think they import to "simpler" or "sampler".
live is so dope.

wow - thanks for turning me onto drumstack - its really really cool. I've been trying to do this in a Combinator in Reason for awhile. Stacking drums are essention IMHO.

yeah, dude. drumstackz the shit. i was using battery 3 over impulse for lack of a layering feature. when i d/l'ed the drumstack set...it was an IMMEDIATE switch up. good - bye battery 3 (and its ridiculous load time). multiple outs make it the total package. i would've paid for this thing.
live is so dope.
