LFO offset

Post by peeddrroo » Wed Feb 14, 2007 5:37 pm

shouldn't a synched LFO always have the same offset each time you launch the sequencer?
i've noticed that in sampler, if you set an LFO for instance with a sawtooth, synched on 1 bar and with retrigger off, it will sound differently each time you start and stop playing.
it's very annoying. it's synched but free running at the same time. the "offset" parameter becomes completely useless.

hi peeddrroo,

when synced is enabled, just the tempo is synced. and it's true, with retrigger off, the lfo runs completely free from everything, the offset control gets gray. might it be a good idea to re-sync it when the song starts playing?

best wishes,
matthias

i have come accross this occasionaly , could a trigger command be added so that the user could define when it gets retriggered , instead of the either or situation as is the case with NoteOn or Free running.

to me it makes ense to always have the same offset when the LFO is synced.
