Man I was digging on this big time. Reminded me of NuTone, that sort of jazzy housey feel.

I think maybe the pads in the background could have been a bit "larger" to really fill out the sound. Maybe just some different sounds could go in there, as there seems to be space in the mix, but that might just push it over the edge into be far to complicated.

The bass was nice and warm though and seemed fairly filled out but maybe some sub would have been good. hmmmm maybe there was some sub and the head phones I have at work are not doing it justice.

The arrangement is great IMO, I got to the end of the 8min track without once thinking "this is going on a bit".

"So what kind of music do you make?"
"Both kinds...... drum and bass."

thnx for the feedback. with the pad it was actually bigger before. I EQed some of it out cuz I thought maybe it was making the mix too muddy. I'll have to go back and listen to it again. maybe I misjudged. funny you mention the subs too. tried to add some sub, but it was almost canceling out some of the bass. it was a quick attempt messing with a sub patch in Absynth, so I think i need to spend a bit of time with that.

here's some screenshots of different eq/fx on some of the individual tracks: The first link is a slide show. The second you can download the actual images.
