Any info on 6.0.4?

Post by l-rs » Mon Feb 12, 2007 5:22 pm

Anyone know an ETA of version 6.0.4 (or a beta for that version)

The guys at Ableton said it would fix problems with external gear, crashing on start up, etc. etc. Basically all the problems I'm having.

They said beta testing would open up soon (but that was in an e-mail dated januari 11th and well, it's over a month since then).

I know, impatient and all, but everytime Ableton crashes (which it frequently does) my ASIO gets screwed and I need to reboot. :?

Since 6.0.3 isn't stable for me I would not mind working in a 6.0.4 beta version...

Well, they sure listened ;)

6.0.5 is out and it fixes my crashing problems! Since was in here all the time nagging about it, I should also rejoice in here when it's fixed.

One new thing that's cropped up though is that while loading a medium set I get the following popup:

Insufficient Memory
There's no [sic] enough memory to load the selected SoundFont.

I have 4 gigabytes in my XP machine and these are sets I made myself without getting out of memory messages.

A bug. It happens in sets that use the SFZ Sound Font player (which I use quite a lot because I have a huge set of weird drums, hihat sets and some cool instruments that use that VST plugin.

I'm mailing this to Ableton, obviously...
