Hi Robert!
Can you edit velocities with the pattern sequencer? I saw it on the piano roll but not the pattern sequencer(the one with the animated drumbeat).
Could we expect a freeze function in the future?
Awesome work guys. This is more than I was expecting for the next release. Sidechaining and all! Right on!
Respect!

ALTIVEC and Fader curves???
I haven't seen the word ALTIVEC. Is that the type of optimisation y'all did? Did it go that deep, or is it just better tweeking to the same code?
Also, for the DJs, are there any changes to the cross-fader curve? More choices or adjustments?
Thanks again. I'm naming my first born "Able".
WHOOOOHOOOOO!!

1. would there be a preview function for the midi clips in the browser view? And if yes, how did you manage that?
3. would it be possible to define a programm change in the midi clip, so that it is possible to use different sound in the same Track?
4. would incoming midi notes be routed to the midi channel or would I hear only the sound of the activated Midi Track? Would say: When I am using a external multitrack groovebox, would it be possible that my track 1 adress the sound of Live´s Midi Track 1; Track 2 adress the Sound of Live´s Midi Track 2 and so on?

?????Vectrex wrote:Can you have referenced/ghost patterns? eg alt+drag creates a ghost so one change in the parent block changes throughout the song. Basically I find programs extremely tedious without this... like Reason
you just drag and it's one loop repeating, or if you want to just do that to one loop ctrl-J consolodate, then loop - I can't see it being any different with the midi clips?
Have i misunderstood what you're asking???

have to ask again, cause it was the only Q you fellas didnt answer.
can i write clip envelope data (automation) with knob twiddles now?!
i would love to record sweeps from my knobs or korg kaoss pad as clip envelope data.
irght now you have to draw all clip envelope data, and thats restricting alot of cool stuff.
let me know. and continued thanks and awe

forge: no, ghost clips are totally seperate to each other, so you could have a block up the end of the song that's a 'ghost' of another block at the start... the 'real' one. You can edit either and both will change. ie for beats you can lay out a whole song and decide you want to change it slightly and the whole song changes regardless of where the block is. Much better than simple looping. Especially with midi clips. It's like pattern sequencing but WAY easier and flexible, I can't live without it now and you don't even need to know the feature exists
perry: yes I want knob twiddle recording too.. alot
