I have to re-post my link, last ones may hav expired...

http://minorcrisis.net/files/Channel[2].mp3

Hey spiral that is an intense little number - I agree with mike it's got that brooding alien-splatting feel. Reminds me a bit of Richie Hawtin's early stuff as FUSE. Love that album.

Yeah let's have more... :P
MacBook Pro Retina, Live 9.5, Reason, UC33, KRK RP5s, Teenage Engineering OP1, Korg ESX2, Korg Prophecy, Clavia Nord Lead, Bass, Guitars.

Might want to edit your first post as people might use that link and it mightn't work.

Hello everybody!

I just got in and found this thread! Great idea, I want to join!

I have something that I recorded approx. a month ago during a clinic. I used Live for all of the mixing and, at that time, I wanted to use a single wave file to create a whole song. I will replace my sample with yours and I'll post a link tomorrow! I hope February 18th is the LAST-but-still-usable day! (crossing fingers!)

Thanks a lot for this cool idea, will post my mp3 here tomorrow.

Hi, welcome
my concern
Is that fair to the rest of the contestants though, since you may have had more time to work on the project when we were budgeted for time :?:

But I'm still interested in hearing what you've got.

I can assure you my song was done during a 4-hours long clinic/seminar about Computer Music, sequencing and such. Everything was done on-the-fly, it's the way we do our clinics so that people get captured by the fact that we don't go and just play/show tunes we rehearsed. Also, being a sort of "creativity workshop" as well, we need to keep things fresh and inspiring to demonstrate how songwriting/arranging etc. works in computer music environments.

We usually burn a cd at the end of the show and give it to people who want to have a copy of what we did, knowing that it's a totally unique tune, product of specific inspiration/ideas of a specific moment that will never happen again in the exact same way.

This was just to say that roughly 4 hours was the time I had when I "accidentally" wrote the tune :D

Here it is: Parallel Curvature
(the original version is identical but has a computer-speech female voice that I removed to comply with contest rules)

Thanks for the great opportunity!

I think the issue that you have made a track before the contest date is valid. What do you other contestants think- should it be allowed? I am 50/50 to be honest. The more people in the better.

I am going to be running more contests btw, so if you don't get in on this one- I will be starting a new one probably next week.

I would eventually like to get sponsors for these contests too- :)
