In my life
Why do I smile

I like 'Closer To The Edit', except for the parts that I don't like.

I think he is genuinely been hyped up. As an elctronic musical genius i can think of a dozen more worthy.

You'll hear spastik on tv, the radio, your grandmothers funeral/wedding, kid shows, almost every techno party, and so on.....

I don't think there are much tracks out there like it.
It's simple, classic and awesome.
And it always sneaks up on you, thanks to that intro

Things changed though...
For what Richie gets paid these days for a gig, you can buy 3 cars...
Another soul that got eaten by clearchannel no doubt.

fuck all of you haters, I've heard Richie play a million times since like 93, and although he had some mediocre sets for sure, he has done more than any of you hobnobbers, is way more advanced on like every level than anyone else, is never afraid to experiment and try new things................................

and his shit now is usually slammin, and at the least fresh and inspiring.

I'm always happy when people can reap the rewards by doing what they love.

Richie's success should be an inspiration. You don't see him remixing miz spears or trying to get on the mainstream radar here in the states to get ahead.

It seems like it is on his own terms and vision - and that is rare.

As you get older, you realize compromise is an inherent part of life and to make it to the extent he has w/o too much compromise is a difficult thing to accomplish by any stretch.

Word up to Richie.

exactly, a bunch of haters hating a dreamer that manifests their own dream, and escapes from the humdrum hell of 9-5 slave-labor.....becoming their own master and living on their own terms, following their own vision, having faith in themself and their "GOD", whatever or whoever that might be.

simply put, jealous, envious haters.

your shit is nothing compared to what I've heard coming from Richie's fingertips....

South ST. Seaport, Manhattan, NYC March 2002, Tronic Treatment Party.......the baddest set I have ever heard in my life.

lol at derrick may being a dick. i've got a to spend a minute with him twice now and the dude was so respectfull and polite, and get this, thankfull of the people he was playing for. maybe you just had a bad experience. or maybe you just believe what you read.

richie is cool as fuck too, and has been pushing it forward for longer than most of you have been listening to his shit. seriously, what were you doing in 1990? 1988?
