man, listening to these samples again in the morning with a fresh set of ears is a total trip. when pasted into the right spots i have two chunks of reaktor randomness that sound like voices saying 'rock out' and 'get loose'... soooo trippy. that's some serious i ching shit right there... damn.

someone has to have made a specialty EVP VST i just know it.... so many geeks... please..... please....

*fingers crossed

Hey, what does "electronic voice phenomena" mean? There are of course all kinds of formant-capable synths and you can piece together some weird vowels and consonants...

Also there is a capable product called Virsyn Cantor, which is a "singing synthethizer" (no samples).

evp is supposedly this thing that happens when you record noise in a room, or overlap recordings of noise in a room. then these spooky voices sometimes randomly appear and sound like they're saying stuff.

i was making some random blips and bloops with this reaktor ensemble by the guy who made drox and at some point during the randomness i got what sounds a lot like voices. they're really odd and you can't quite tell what they're saying, but in the context of the tune it sounds like someone cutting in a heavily processed vocal snippet.

i was thinking that this would be a great way to get copyright free vocal stabs and such if i could only hone the randomness somehow.

i tried again but the ensemble wouldn't reproduce anything that sounded like voices :( i think it was a one time thing and it kind of makes me sad.

the idea of recording and editing hours of randomness to reproduce this effect isn't very appealing.

Can you up a clip of what you mean (an example of the voices)?

a vocoder using noise of some kind, then granulated or glitched? I know of nothing that does what you're talking about, sorry.

check some max/msp patches that people have made.
I have a friend who has made one, not up on the interweb though.
but other max-heads are sure to have done it as well.

can't seem to find anyone quickly on google. at the moment who makes a similar max patch. Probably someone else who's done one in reaktor as well though. Check the user forum. Keep looking and you'll probably find something from google.
if you're on a PC (I'm not) this looks kinda bitchin.
