Great job, Ableton! This is definitely the only DAW I need, especially since Macintosh AU & AltiVec support is now included. I couldn't ask for anything more.

I just bought a pc... Damn, if I knew that AU and altivec optimization, I probably would have just gotten a newer mac.

I am so pleased at the feature set, but kicking myself in the butt for blowing a wad of money on that PC now.

Oh well, live n' learn.

Thanks so much for all the work Ableton! You guys rock!

I'm betting that it's still going to run just fine on a PC, It's good news for all you mac guys though, maybe we can ALL get down to some serious music making now regardless of platform.

I'm just glad finally a softstudio that can support all VSt's,midi out and audio..Fu_kn those wimpy Propelerheads for never supporting VST or midi out..Maybe this will teach them something..

It's alright no? You'll have access to apps that are only available on a specific platform. I sometimes wish I had a mac cuz of logic.

Marcus,

Don't feel bad about the PC. I spent 16 years on Mac, and I was a rabid fan. I bought a pc in 2002, and my music stuff has never run faster or been more stable...

It took Gates 20 years, but he's finally got a pretty solid product. Wait til you see my Toshiba on the Laptopalooza Tour! It even runs Cubase, no crashes, the world's flakiest program.

Sorry,

yes buying a top of the line dell for less than a $1000, will still beat getting a $2000 mac.

i am like duck, i LOVE(d) mac for my whole life. but got a PC during the OSX/9 debacle and have never looked back.

i have had a $600 p4 2.4ghz for 2 years and the still still flies. and is perfectly stable.

i hate myself for it but, PC works!
