I bought EnergyXT only 3 days ago so i could get instruments into live. I ended up using it stanalone instead cos its bloody amazing for such a young prog. Only today the programmer added a beta with the best automation method I've seen yet in an app, including logic. It only costs 39 ero, and you could complete an album with it. I'm excited about Live 4 and will definately buy in, but sometimes it's those little programs in an early state of growth that offer the most inspiration. If you're into Energy XT and you've not noticed the new beta yet, I recommend you give it a spin. There's a few graphics bugs at the mo but it'll be perfect on release no doubt.

You shouldn't regret purchasing anything. Logic Pro has plugins up the wazoo Live has an unbeatable UI for doing really cool things. It doesn't matter how you get that promised land where all the music slams, it matters that you get there period.

Way to go Ableton. May your product find its way into many new homes. Mine included
Amen to that - it actually doesn't do for your sanity to think like that - you'd go crazy if you went through life regretting the money spent on music gear, it's one of the most expensive pursuits with no guaranteed return so it's a really un-sensible financial life choice.

So like the man said: "It doesn't matter how you get that promised land where all the music slams, it matters that you get there period" - I think that should be Ableton's new slogan!
