I've finally done it. I've left Sonar behind, ignored Sound Forge, turned my back on Fruity Loops and devoted myself to Lives seductive power...
The result is my new tune 'Swiss Musical Movement', which can be heard here: http://www.carbonbaseddesign.co.uk/dhouse/studio.html
It uses almost exclusively recordings from a funny little wind up music box. As such its somewhat experimental in a glitchy, dubby sorta way...
Enjoy!

This is really quite cool. There really is something about music boxes and glitch — I'm not sure what, exactly, but its bell-like timbres, percussive attacks and overall tiny-ness really make for some fascinating textures. Certain places in this almost have a cuica-like thing going on. Keep it up.

cheers, glad you like. I know what you mean about music boxes, too. This one in particular has a very odd sound, its like its become slightly de-tuned over the years and as a result has a strange, wonky feel to it!
