I'm currently running Live 5.2 to DJ on a MacBook 1.83 w/1GB Ram. I've also got a Behringer FCA202 Firewire sound card for the main audio, and the built-in audio for cueing.
No matter what, everytime I use Live it will randomly lock up and the audio just stops. You can see the levels just drop. Live is still running but it is at a crawl. CPU usage isn't high and there is plenty of RAM available for Live. This can happen with 1 clip or 10 clips, it seems to be at random.
I've tried Live without the aggregate device and just done a headphone mix and there are no problems at all. Is there anything I'd need to do with the Aggregate device or is Live having issues?
So far I've tried setting the clock to either audio device, dropped the settings to 44khz and 16bit on the external card (The behringer can support 96k/24bit).
I'm technically minded but I've only started using live recently so the audio side of the technology sometimes leaves me baffled!
