This may seem completely basic (velocity->parameter)

But how does one route note velocity to any given control/parameter on a following effect device?

Like let's say I wanted to map note velocity->resonator frequency so that when I'm laying out notes, or beats, the sound will be implicitly tied to velocity. Or if playing in manually, velocity will automatically effect the sound.

I know I can just pull up automation for the resonator->freq parameter itself and draw lines/points in - but that requires thinking about it - which as we all know, is the enemy. It'd be pretty intuitive if I were able to just map note velocity to whatever parameters I choose. Something tells me this is so basic that it's already there - but either I'm too stupid to find it, or am going about it in the wrong way.

AFAIK, it's not there. The Plogue Bidule plug-in will do it for you, though.
