making wet metal sounds?

I have tried Lucifer and I tried the demo of Major Malfunction. It got me excited but it isnt nearly as intuitive as Dblue. I cant see it as a replacement for it but maybe i need to dig a little deeper with it. I think I'm gonna play with Reaktor some more too. Have you tried Dblue? The ease of use and how easily you can tweek parameters combined with its sound quality, tape delay,etc...its hard to beat. It will take an Very talented programmer to replicate it on Mac apparently.(Or maybe the ones who could do it dont want to give that much hard work away like he did!)

But when you use it, do you think that someone could easily identify that you used it? It can be hard to use a plug-in and not make it sound like you used Reaktor, or dBlue Glitch etc.

havent listened to the TTA tune as for some reason I dont get the MySPace music player loading in Firefox (any tips ?) but I read some mention about short delay and high feedback.
So, my suggestion is using the Grain Delay with full feedback, minimum spray, Frequency to taste and Pitch -3 to +3 or whatever takes your fancy then automate Pitch and Frequency. Oh yeah, set the time (not sync) mode to 1 ms

I then garnished in some eq and phaser (and beat repeats if youre lazy)

Gives me some nice gloopy beats

Not really seeing what the big deal is here. It's just standard beat repeat/fast chop/reduct/downsample stuff.

i.e. Autechre was doing it in like 1997. Surely you can learn to duplicate it.

have you tried Camel Audio Camelspace? You can get some cool 'wet metal' sounds with that I think.

I'd love to get more info on this - I'm not sure if glitchhophead is referring to Lucifer or Major Malfunction, but it MM: can you elaborate on what's not as intuitive in MM compared to dBlue's Glitch, and/or what you'd like to see included in MM for future versions?

Also, re: the original request for a "wet metal" sound like Telefon Tel Aviv on "Farenheight Fair Enough"; using MM, try using the Delay effect, with the Time parameter turned down to 10-20 msecs or so, and then Feedback cranked up to 70-90% or so. That makes a pretty cool sound for me!

Finally, I'm now working on an XP version of the plugin too, so all future versions will be cross platform...

Wow, just checked out the demo, this is well cool, I like the beeps too, the way the beep is on a different note every time!!
