Live and the Kurzweil K2000 MIDI issues

Post by HardwareExorcist » Sun Feb 25, 2007 3:03 am

i'm attempting to use my k2000 to control live's synths via midi using an SB audigy soundcard. i've followed all the directions through to get this work, but i've had no luck getting any signal through. i've poured through my k2000 trying to find the culprit, but nothing.

anyone else use one with live that might be able to point me in the right direction? thanks :D

did you set the port up in options->preferences->midi?

do you see activity on the midi indicator in the upper right corner?

to see if you keyboard is reaching the computer you can use a program like MIDI OX to monitor MIDI activity, then you can see if it's a setting with the keyboard or with Live.

set track monitor to IN to play externally, set it to AUTO to have the clip in that track play the track's VST.

yes, no, freeware?, and i'll give that a shot, thanks. is it important to note that no other program is responding as well? i've even checked the minor details, like making sure the cable isn't the problem and that the soundcard is well seated.
