Live Tutorial DVD

It's a great tutorial for newbies. Has some decent tricks too. But it doesn't cover any Live 6 goodies like Racks or Sampler.

I agree, I hate reading all the damn books so Its what I used to get going. I suggest for advanced stuff get the books, or hit soem meet up groups off meetup.com.

I am also considering going to some workshops in my area that are put together by private companies.

Since you're in Chicago, I'd suggest buttering up Tarekith for some tips. I hear his weakness is deep dish pizza.
