BEZIER
Hi guys,
im searching a software that could let me draw my sound with a bezier curve like illustrator, anyone know if iy's exist?
(that's maby stupid, buts that' for manking "perfect" kick",
or steal one's and redraw the low frequ to get rid of extra soundz
would be very very very enjoy if it exists...

you mean apply the curve to the fequency spectrum, or amplitude?
tera and absynth are two which will let you draw your own frequency curves, also the latter has the ability for multi breakpoint envelopes on a variety of oscillator parameters, as does the former too, but in a different way. i havn't used absynth since version 1 for os 9, and i find the sound quality of tera to be alot richer too, imo. check out the demo for each, there just two i've used and know of, i'm sure there's much more.

I don't think that would be very useful. Interesting perhaps, but it is not like you can see how a particular waveform will sound.
But for kicks, check out this tutorial by Infected Mushroom (even if you don't like trance...):
http://www.infected-mushroom.net/Studio ... torial.htm
They are not drawing the waveform, but rather shaping the frequency etc in a very illustrative step by step way.

maybe i misunderstand, but waveforms are very short, repeating cycles. live will let you draw longer, automation curves for whatever parameter you wish, such as amplitude.Euklid.fox wrote:thanks,
ive seen abynth ability to draw a wavform, but sadly it's only for short sound,
i dlike to be able to draw by brezier 1s sound waveform for example (amplitde)
thats true. what i said was also true to an extent. still, drawing something like you describe, which i'm interpreting as a multi carrier, multiple LFO FM oscillator, may be somewhat difficult. but anythings possible, i guess...Machinate wrote:No they're not. They *can be*, but the short repeating cycles often suck. Longer, ondulating sounds for the win.leonard wrote: maybe i misunderstand, but waveforms are very short, repeating cycles.

Yep ur right, that might be long, but very interesting, and another application I thought about is to copy (cheating, inspirating) - from others 's kick/low freq (it would be too long for high freq.
another app; suppose you have a kick with garbdge/high freq recorded in but you want to keep obly low freq, instead of destructing by Eq, we could draw the low freq only recoping on the curve....

Which of course is the same thing...Euklid.fox wrote:
