How to turn "warping off" for a midi clip

Post by posssu » Wed Feb 28, 2007 4:02 pm

When I have a midi clip and I change master tempo, is it in any way possible to keep the midi clip sounding the same as it did before the master tempo change?

I know midi clips aren't actually warped, but is it possible to make them behave as if warping was off for them... ie. keep it sounding similar and make it "let go" from the beat grid, go out of sync.

I'm sort of new to all of this myself, but it seems to me that you could flatten it and then it'll be an audio clip, and you'll be able to unwarp it then. I know that's probably not exactly what you're looking for, because it'll stop being a midi clip then, but if you're happy with the way it sounds and you just wanna keep the tempo the same, you could try that.
