USB midi controllers

Post by tunetracker » Wed Feb 28, 2007 8:21 pm

Hi,

I'm using live on xp with a UC-33 and Trigger Finger and an MS-20 Controller.
When I go into preferences/midi sync/active devices they are listed as:
USB Audio Device,
USB Audio Device(2)
USB Audio Device(2)

Is it possible to get live to display the names of the devices?
If i go to control panel / sound and audio devices / hardware - and highlight a USB audio device, the devices are listed by name in location.

I was wondering if it is possible for live to display the names of the devices in preferences/midi sync/active devices? as this would make life alot easier.

Thanks.

yeah, I hate that too, my BCR and SL25 do the same thing, but one has () brackets, the other has [] brackets.

The only thing I can think of are the custom automap templates. Read the .txt files in the resources directory. If you make a folder called Myfuckingradcontroller then Myfuckingradcontroller shows up as a device. Maybe you could put the factory automap file in a named directory. Good idea actually.
