It seems like a lot of people are trying to not use the mouse/keyboard during perfomances or even in the studio. I'm wondering how some of you accomplish this-- what controller(s) do you have and how do you have them setup for navigating in Live?
Sub question: What do you guys think is the best controller out right now that you can setup to control whatever you need in Live as well as navigate around so you barely have to use the mouse/keyboard, if at all?
Not using the mouse/keyboard and best external controller..

There are honestly many cool controllers out there to use with live. ultimately depends upon what your application is. If its DJ'ing there are PLENTY. like Remote Zero Sl (which i have) and i LOVE for djing, or the AXIOM from M-Audio which i use when im doing studio stuff. I love both of them for what they provide for me, and it doesnt ENTIRELY eliminate using a MOUSE but keyboard, i RARELY use it, and mouse i use only when needed.
The blood of rhythm is instilled in all living souls.
the absolute controller I have for this and have ever seen is an electribe..... Right now what I did was hook up my electribe as a dedicated midi controller... it's a groove box that runs for 500 bucks and is pricy however it reallyy works out because there are six channels on it for controlls so basically when you switch between synth parts the channel changes and live can see that so you have all the knobs and buttons x5 plus the global channel for a couple more buttons as well as all the drum pads......
And on top of that what you can do is still use it as a groove box... say use three synth parts inside it and map the other two with volumes down into live and still have a VERY versitile controller......
In case you don't know what an electribe is, here's the link: http://korg.com/gear/prod_info.asp?a_pr ... egory_id=2
