Breakdowns, Buildups, and Fills in Session view...

Post by Verbal » Wed Feb 28, 2007 5:43 pm

To help learn Live and add it to my DJ sets, I bought a CD full of loops to play around with. I have a nice little arrangement I'm working on but it's missing something.

Any tips on creating breakdowns, buildups, and fills while playing in session mode? Any specific effects or combo of effects that work well in creating a breakdown/buildup?

Any examples of how you handle this would help. Thanks!

Beat repeat, auto filter and delay (in that order) are your friends.
