not really guys I havnt looked everywhere to fix it...basicly i bought ableton 5 after the date they said if u buy it u get 6.0 update free ,and they told me to find the update somewhere in my account downloads but it was never there.

so iv been stuck with 5.0 even since.

and the only reason i bought 5 is to get 6 when i tcame out

Have you downloaded the upgrade to Live 6? and then don't have the serial for it?

I guess you got that answer from the tech support, as you mention an answer you received:

-go to the Ableton website and login to your account:
https://www.ableton.com/login?page=user/account

Create one if you don't have one. Then, make sure your current Live 5 serial number is registered to your account.

-from there, click the 'shop' link. and then the 'upgrades' link.

-If you are elligible, you will see the offer for a free Live 6 download version. You are elligible if you meet the following: 'Customers who recently purchased Live 5 can get a free downloadable upgrade to Live 6. This offer is valid to all users who unlock their full version of Live 5 after July 14 and before October 31. Instead of the downloadable upgrade you can optionally obtain a boxed version of Live 6 including the Essential Instrument Collection for EUR 99/USD 119.'

hey,

yes thats what iv been doing for the past few months..but it doesnt give me a free upgrade, and i registerd my product july 14 so i should have it

In that case, I'm quite sure the support asked you to send them your Live 5 serial number to check, right? If not, do so, explaining the situation. They will get back to you.
